Korea-ASEAN Digital Innovation Flagship (KADIF)
A fully sponsored digital talent development programme executed by Garranto Academy in collaboration with Ablearn (South Korea), supported by NIPA & MDEC.

KADA
Malaysia Track 2026
About the Programme
Project KADA is a digital talent development initiative spearheaded by NIPA (National IT Industry Promotion Agency of South Korea) in collaboration with ASEAN partners. It is part of the broader Korea-ASEAN Digital Innovation Flagship (KADIF) project, designed to narrow the digital skills gap across the ASEAN region.
For the 2026β2027 programme cycle, Garranto Academy has been selected as the Local Operating Agency (LOA) responsible for executing the KADA Malaysia Track. Garranto will conduct 4 training cohorts between April 2026 and April 2027, in collaboration with Ablearn (South Korea) and supported by MDEC (Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation).
Programme Partners
The KADA Malaysia Track 2026β2027 is made possible through the collaboration of four key organisations across South Korea and Malaysia.
The ASEAN-ROK Cooperation Fund (AKCF) is the multilateral financial mechanism established under the strategic partnership between the Republic of Korea and ASEAN member states. It funds cooperative programmes spanning digital innovation, education, capacity building, and economic development across the ASEAN region.
The KADA programme β including the Malaysia Track β is funded under AKCF's support for the Korea-ASEAN Digital Innovation Flagship (KADIF) initiative, reflecting the commitment to narrowing the digital skills gap and fostering sustainable tech talent development across Southeast Asia.
NIPA (National IT Industry Promotion Agency) is a South Korean government agency under the Ministry of Science and ICT, dedicated to fostering the growth of the IT industry and promoting digital innovation both domestically and internationally.
NIPA spearheads Project KADA as the initiating and governing body, coordinating between South Korean technology partners and ASEAN recipient countries. NIPA provides programme oversight, technical expertise, and facilitates the deployment of Korean digital education excellence to emerging markets across Southeast Asia.
ABLEARN is an AI and data education company based in South Korea, responsible for designing and delivering the KADA training curriculum. They create hands-on programmes in Generative AI, Full Stack Development, and Digital Transformation (DX) β focused on real-world application so participants can immediately deploy AI and development skills in the workplace.
ABLEARN specialises in bridging the gap between emerging technology and practical application, enabling both technical and non-technical professionals to upskill effectively. Their mission: βLearning is the most powerful driver of growth β empowering meaningful challenges and growth for everyone.β
MDEC (Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation) is Malaysia's lead government agency responsible for driving the growth and development of the digital economy. Under the Ministry of Digital, MDEC spearheads national digital transformation initiatives, fosters tech talent development, and positions Malaysia as a leading digital hub in the region.
For the KADA Malaysia Track, MDEC plays a crucial support role β providing local coordination, regulatory backing, and ensuring the programme aligns with Malaysia's national digital economy goals and talent development agenda.
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is Malaysia's largest public university, with a nationwide campus network spanning every state in the country. UiTM provides the physical infrastructure and facilities required to run the KADA Malaysia Track's offline practical sessions β including training venues, campus resources, and on-site logistics.
As the Infrastructure Partner, UiTM ensures the programme has the institutional backbone needed to deliver in-person training at scale β enabling Garranto Academy to execute high-quality, hands-on bootcamp sessions across the programme's cohorts within a well-equipped university environment.
